Mountain Hardware was founded in 1993 by a small team of outdoor enthusiasts. The team consisted of climbers through to skiers and each had a unique insight into what products would be beneficial for outdoor ventures. When Mountain Hardware first started they set themselves challenging design tasks, and as a result of this hard work they were able to force their way through a competitive market to produce a durable and lasting line of outdoor clothing.

Jackets
Mountain Hardware stocks a range of innovative fleece jackets, which can
be utilised for any outdoor activity. In 1996 Mountain Hardware pioneered
the Windstopper fleece, which has a Gore membrane that is concealed within
two layers of fleece material to provide additional insulation for you
when worn in the harsh weather elements. All Mountain Hardware fleece
jackets contain this unique windstopper technology and are also incredibly
durable and breathable.
Mountain Hardware produces a variety of fleece jackets which are suitable for both men and women. The jackets are all lightweight and can be contained in small spaces as well as being varied lengths.
Vests
Mountain Hardware vests for men and women offer an alternative to the full
fleece jacket. All fleece vests use the innovative gore membrane
technology and are made from 100% fleece material to ensure that they are
breathable, lightweight and warm. Vests can be worn as the sole outer
layer of mountaineering clothing or as part of a layering system.
